Hi everyone! I can’t believe we are already in the middle of June, and what should be one of my busiest times of the year! Over the last few years, I have had the pleasure of painting at lots of different events of all shapes and sizes, and one of the questions I get at some public events is ‘but isn’t face painting just for children?’.
No! Absolutely not! I have actually painted more adults than I have children in my career so far, so much so that I have decided to make it my specialty! Whether at children’s birthday parties, weddings, or events like Chatsworth Flower Show, I have always ended up painting parents as well. I’ve also been booked for several 40th birthday parties and hen do’s where children aren’t even invited! Although there is a lower age limit to face painting (it goes against the manufacturers’ guidelines to paint anyone under the age of 3) there is no upper age limit to face painting. I have had the pleasure of painting so many people of all different ages, and have even given a 90 year old her first face paint!
The only difference between painting children and adults is the designs. Although it does happen where a groom wants to have a full dragon face paint, most of the time, adults tend to opt for more delicate eye designs, and equally sometimes younger guests have opted for a more sophisticated designs.
So there you go! ‘But I’m too old’ is not an excuse when your children dare you to get your face painted! If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment or to get in touch.
